Responsibilities:

 

• The primary objective is to optimize supplier quality in delivered product

• Establish and execute formal certification process for new/current suppliers

• Be responsible for managing supplier’s performance to ensure the development of continual improvement activities.

• Identify and eliminate variation in the production processes of suppliers by implementing statistical process control (SPC), DOE, PFEMA, qualification protocols, gage r&r, and other advanced statistical methods.

•  Develop, monitor and maintain systems to measure supplier progress towards quality cost and delivery goals.

• Mange returns supplier materials and associated corrective actions.

• Identify and eliminate variation in the production process of suppliers.

• Develop quality acceptance procedures to minimize the time required from quote to production parts.

• Communicate our expectations to suppliers

• Assure that sourced products provide opportunities for cost reduction, sales growth, and service improvements.

• Audit of suppliers to provide facts pertaining to the level risk a supplier mat create

• Utilize the Receiving Inspection Department to ensure correct parts are injected into the manufacturing assembly process.

• Establish supplier quality requirements and Receiving Inspection criteria to ensure the receipt of high quality components.

• Travel approximately 25%

  

Requirements:

·        Minimum 5 years experience involving supplier quality activities

·        Excellent communication skills are required.

·        Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

·        Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferably mechanical engineering) is required
